Adult Piano

offered through the Center for Lifelong Education and Recreation (CLEAR) at SUNY Potsdam.

Dates:  September 18 - November 13, 2017 (NO CLASS 10/9)
Meets: Monday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 8 sessions total
Location: Schuette Hall A122, Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam

Fee: $75.00

An additional section will be offered Thursday evenings from 6 - 7 p.m., same location, if demand is high.

Program Description

Learn to play piano in a relaxed and supportive setting. Throughout the course you will explore basic skills in topics such as reading music, harmonization, and playing solo repertoire, as well as other activities at the piano depending on request. *Adults with previous piano experience are also welcome, as time is allotted at the end of every class for brief individual questions/lessons.

Requirements: Course workbook - Adult Piano Adventures All-in-One Piano Course Book 1: Book with Online Media, 2nd Edition by Nancy & Randall Faber (ISBN-13: 978-1569392386 / ISBN-10: 1616773022). The book should be purchased before the first day of class. It is available online or locally from Brick & Mortar Music at 15 Market Street in Potsdam.  The cost is approximately $12-18.
